Responsilibities of the Chief Operating Officer & KRA's

• Design and implement business strategies, plans and procedures;
• Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth;
• Inspire a high-performance culture;
• Have a collaborative approach and leadership to organisational, cultural and structural change, asset management, service innovation, sustainability, operational efficiencies, Information Technology, Corporate Governance and business intelligence;
• Establish policies that promote company culture and vision;
• Oversee daily operations of the company and the work of managers (IT, Marketing, Sales, Finance etc.) with a view to improve performance;
• Lead employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication;
• Evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics;
• Write and submit reports to the CEO in all matters of importance;
• Assist CEO in financial analysis and performance;
• Participate in expansion activities (investments, acquisitions, corporate alliances etc.);
• Manage relationships with partners/vendors/buyers and other stakeholders;
• Ensure the timely delivery of financial and performance data to the CEO and the appropriate sub-committees of the Board;
• Engage and introduce actions that redesign organizational structures, processes and systems;
• Work with others to best channel resources and organisational capability, and provide clarity to the organisation regarding the execution of Strategic plan, Budget plan and Operating plan;
• Collaboratively sets performance goals and measures, tracks and evaluates outcomes;
• Ensure that sustainable, customer focused, quality products and services are delivered to meet the need of the community and key performance indicators are met;
• Be responsible to implement and improve our Quality Management Systems and to take leading responsibilities in Quality Certifications that enhance our capabilities.
• Ensure the organisation is moving in the right direction to achieve each business unit’s functions and business goals;
• Build the knowledge and understanding of operational key performance indicators throughout the organisation;
• Build a continual improvement culture in the organisation that monitors, manages and aligns to key performance outcomes;
• Design an operational framework where systems, people, policies and processes are accessible and enable users to deliver on performance outcomes;
• Evaluate business activities in terms of value added impact and balance opportunities and risk;
• Evaluate benchmarks of the organisation against sector, markets and current business metric;
• Participate in identifying professional development and training needs and attend professional development activities as required.
